This wonderful 7 day India tour takes you to the tropical countryside of the Western Ghats. Unplug from your daily hectic schedule and explore the gorgeous landscapes of Wayanad and Gudalur.
While making your way around these villages, you’ll have the chance to see the cultural diversity of two different states that share a border. Explore delicious cuisines, wildlife sanctuaries where you can see tigers, mountain peaks, and picturesque waterfalls.
Begin your tour in Kerala’s village of Wayanad where you will learn about the native Malayali life. Stay in a village home and delight in the taste of local foods, rice paddy fields, spice plantations, and women’s entrepreneurial units. This area is home to a wonderfully diverse bird population and lush flora that really brings the scenery to life!
You’ll finish your tour with 3 nights in a simple village, Gudalur. Your accommodations will be on a 6-acre organic farm owned by a local family who have dedicated their lives to caring for and nurturing the land and animals. Taste truly authentic Tamil cuisine, lovingly prepared by native women. Enjoy a tour to a coffee and tea estate, and so much more.
You will start your week in Wayanad where you'll have the chance to explore on foot and get to know the local people, place, and way of life.
Through the next three days, trek to Manikunnu Hills and discover the plants and animals.
Enjoy drives to Chembra Peak and Soochipara Waterfalls. Have a look at bamboo craft units.
For the next 3 nights you will visit nearby attractions such as an organic farm, Needle Rock view point, Pykara waterfall & lake.
Stop off at the Mudumalai Wildlife Santuary and enjoy a beautiful drive to Ooty.
