As part of this course, you will take part in wilderness walks and game drives each day. You will be based in camps with the best wildlife viewing areas.
Depending on the time of year, you could be exposed to two different reserves, where you'll learn about the diverse habitats and various species of wildlife.

During this course, you'll gain a solid knowledge and skill base for careers around the world working with the environment and wildlife.
You'll learn about the planning of game drives and bush walks, navigation, orientation, radio procedures, ecology, geology, soil, reptiles, fish, mammals, weather, climate, plants, animal behavior, plant identification and much more!
Professional Field Guide 1 Year Course (297,000 ZAR)
This course includes 4-5 months of theory and practical training with qualified instructors.
Upon completion of these certificate courses, you will be placed at a lodge for 5-6 months where you will work with highly experienced guides and lodge managers to develop your skills.
You will learn about guiding in the natural environment, bush and survival skills, geology, ecology, taxonomy, mammals, reptiles, fish, birds, behavior, tracking and various tracks, safely approaching dangerous game animals, night drives, and off-road driving.
7 and 14-Day Animal Tracking Course (16,970-33,895 ZAR)
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about tracking and sign interpretation. The focus is on careful tracking of rhino, elephant, lion, and buffalo!
