Head to South Africa and take part in a wildlife volunteer project alongside world-renowned lion conservationist and behaviourist, Kevin Richardson. The program takes place at his wildlife sanctuary in the Pretoria region for a minimum of 7 nights.
If you’re interested in gaining experience with wildlife, learning about them, and spending time with like-minded individuals, this is the program for you! As a volunteer, you should be eager and willing to get your hands dirty, and help with whatever tasks are required for the time you are there. The program will be rewarding, and give you insight into the realities of wildlife conservation in Africa.
Some of the important work you’ll be a part of includes:
There are many other areas you may be a part of, however, volunteers should be understanding that the will not have hands-on contact with the lions. This is extremely delicate work, and as the centre does not believe in mass breeding of cubs for tourism and volunteering, they will not exploit the cats for this purpose.
**Please note, listed price is 2018 price. Prices start at 1116.50 GBP for 2019 **
