Travel to Ecuador and take part in a Galapagos Voluntour program which helps to preserve native plant species.
Start your adventure in Quito, where you’ll enjoy free time as well as a trip to the Equator Line. You’ll then get a full briefing of what to is to come over the next week at your volunteer program and have some time to make any last minute preparations.
Then, the experience you’ve been waiting for! You’ll fly (not included) to the island of San Cristobal, which will be your home base for the following week. This week, participate in environmental conservation and help to remove invasive species replacing them with endemic plants. Keep a watchful eye out for various species of wildlife as they venture their natural habitat! You’ll be a part of the program’s main goals, which are:

Today you'll be picked up after your arrival at the Quito airport. You'll be transferred to your accommodation in a shared room at a hotel. Settle in and enjoy your free time exploring Quito at your leisure.
You'll start today with a briefing on your volunteer project and the important information about the program. Do not hesitate to ask any questions, as you'll need to fully understand what your responsibilities are for the duration of the program.
This afternoon, you'll enjoy a tour to see the line of the equator! Use today for any last minute preparations before beginning your exciting trip to the Galapagos Islands!
You'll be transferred to the Quito airport today for your flight to San Cristobal Island in the Galapagos. The flight is not included in the cost listed.
After arrival, you'll be transferred to the volunteer house. You'll settle into your shared room and get to know the area you'll be staying and working in for the next week.
This week you will enjoy working on a project that is benefitting the community of which you are working. The project is a private initiative at a farm in the highlands. The project works cloesly with the Galapagos National Park to replace the invasive plants with endemic plants on private and public lands.
Your responsibilities as a volunteer include: removing invasive plants & replacing them with endemic species, working in the nursery and preparing soils. Occasionally you may have the chance to see giant Galapagos tortoises in the field.
Enjoy a free day in the Galapagos and take an optional activity of your choice on your own at an extra cost.
Enjoy your last night in the Galapagos, pack up your belongings for your return flight to Quito tomorrow and rest up at your accommodation.
Today you will take a transfer to the San Cristobal Airport (SCY) in time to catch your flight to the mainland where your trip will come to an end (flight not included).
