Follow your passion for cats to South Africa where you can join a program working with the fastest cats in the world, Cheetah. At Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre (HESC), you’ll have the opportunity to get close to the cheetah and aid in their conservation, rehabilitation, and more.
At the centre, you’ll work with both the endangered King Cheetah, as well as the Breeding Cheetah, where you will assist with rehabilitation activities, including feeding. You’ll divide your time between participation, conservation, and sightseeing, so as to gain the best experience possible.
Through active participation, you’ll help by cleaning, feeding, and observing or assisting with veterinary activities. You’ll learn about the animals, the centre, and much more!
To increase your knowledge of conservation efforts, informal lectures on all parts of the conservation efforts will be provided. You’ll receive information from specialists about all flora and fauna, as well as the basic biodiversity of the region.
The fun doesn’t stop there! You’ll also have plenty of opportunities to put your new-found knowledge into practice as you observe wildlife in the wild or at other centres. You’ll also have the chance to visit exciting attractions, points of interest, and Kruger National Park!
