Program duration: 8 weeks
Dive in crystal waters, trek through untouched rainforest and discover the wonders of Belize while assisting a leading NGO with conservation and management of Toledo’s marine protected areas. Join like-minded conservationists working alongside team of local experts and help protect sea turtles, manatees, jaguars; coral reefs & rainforests in beautiful Belize with this longer term volunteer opportunity. Spend your days learning valuable conservation skills which contribute to the ongoing research and practical management in this district, while creating lasting friendships with other volunteers.
Team Expeditions include:
Transfers to and from Belize City International Airport on your arrival and departure dates
PADI SCUBA training, materials and certification
Equipment rental (for items not listed in your kit list)
Weekly excursions with TIDE Tours
Occasional meals out at local restaurants
Individual Expeditions include:
Transfers to and from Punta Gorda airport or bus terminal on your arrival and departure dates
Equipment rental (for items not listed on your kit list)
A leaving meal at a top Punta Gorda restaurant on your last weekend
Access to laundry facilities at your homestay
